Frequently asked

What MillionScan is, how the data works, and how to use it

Quick answers on data sources, scoring, API integration for AI-assisted trading workflows, and how MillionScan differs from other on-chain analytics products. Informational and research use only.

  1. 1. What is MillionScan?

MillionScan is an on-chain perpetual futures trader analytics platform. We continuously monitor public on-chain perpetual futures venues, score every active trader on a verified 0–68 composite (profit factor, Sharpe, max drawdown, win rate, average PnL per trade), and surface their position events in real time. Traders appear as #XXXXX public IDs — never wallet addresses. Built for researchers, quant developers, and builders shipping AI-assisted trading tools. Informational and research use only.
  2. 2. How do I find verified on-chain perpetual futures traders?

Open the Active leaderboard at /explore. Every row is a trader who currently passes the six-criteria entry filter (volume, account size, trade count, win-rate band, drawdown, 30-day ROI). Sort by score, ROI, or PnL; click a row to inspect every position event with timestamps, price-marked charts, and a per-component score breakdown.
  3. 3. Can I use MillionScan with Claude Code, Cursor, or vibe coding workflows?

Yes — the public REST + WebSocket API is built for AI-assisted coding workflows. Pull verified scored trader data straight into your AI agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Aider, or any tool that can call HTTP) without parsing raw on-chain events yourself. Official Python and TypeScript SDKs are typed end-to-end so an AI assistant gets full autocomplete on your trader signals. $89 / 30-day metered access; see the developer docs for endpoints, WebSocket events, and rate limits.
  4. 4. How is the trader score calculated?

The headline score runs 0–68 and is composed of profit factor (max 20), Sharpe ratio (15), max drawdown (15), win rate (10), and average PnL per trade (8). Suspected bot patterns (win rate > 98%) and traders below hard floors (account < $1K, drawdown ≥ 30%, profit factor < 0.8) are auto-excluded with a 0 score. Bands: 65+ top tier, 55–64 strong, 45–54 meets the analytical threshold, below 45 not yet qualified. Elite members see the per-component breakdown on each trader's Score tab. Full methodology at /about/score.
  5. 5. What data sources does MillionScan use?

All performance data is read directly from public on-chain perpetual futures venues. A dedicated ingestion infrastructure continuously reads the underlying protocol state, writes every position event (OPEN / ADD / REDUCE / CLOSE / FLIP) to an append-only store, and reconciles fills against on-chain transfers. No self-reported returns, no edited screenshots, no off-chain claims — only what the blockchain confirms. Venue names are not exposed in the public UI by policy.
  6. 6. What is the difference between MillionScan and other on-chain perpetual analytics platforms?

MillionScan is trader-level by design — every primary surface is one trader at a time, not aggregate market data. Each trader carries a verified 0–68 composite score computed from on-chain trades, not self-reported returns. The active pool is curated through a six-criteria entry gate and re-evaluated hourly, so the leaderboard reflects current performance rather than an exhaustive dump of every account. Identifiers are #XXXXX public IDs, never wallet addresses. The public API is built for AI-assisted research workflows with typed SDKs and WebSocket streaming, not just a JSON dump.
  7. 7. Is MillionScan related to Mintscan or millions select shop?

No. MillionScan (millionscan.com) is an on-chain perpetual futures trader analytics platform. It is unrelated to Mintscan (a Cosmos blockchain explorer at mintscan.io), millions select shop / Millions Inc. (apparel and lifestyle brands), The Millions (a books and culture publication), Mega Millions or Mass Millions (lottery products), or any token using the 'million' or 'milli' name. The brand is one word, capitalised as MillionScan, and refers exclusively to this analytics platform.
  8. 8. Is MillionScan free, and what does Elite unlock?

Free plan tracks up to 3 traders on your watchlist with full alert support. Elite plan removes the watchlist cap entirely (track unlimited traders) and surfaces the per-component score breakdown on each trader's Score tab. The public REST + WebSocket API is a separate $89 / 30-day metered product on the developer surface and is not gated by the consumer plan tier.
  9. 9. Does MillionScan offer financial advice?

No. MillionScan is an analytics platform for informational and research purposes only. Content does not constitute financial advice, investment recommendation, or solicitation. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Users are solely responsible for their own research and decisions.
